This page explains what personal data I handle when I build and run WhatsApp messaging integrations, and what I do not do with it. Last updated 10 September 2026.

Who is responsible

Bar Moshe, an independent sole proprietor registered in Israel (עוסק פטור 206921777), based in Rishon LeZion. Contact: 1barmoshe1@gmail.com.

What the software does

I build messaging integrations on the WhatsApp Business Platform for businesses that hire me. A business connects its own WhatsApp Business account, and the integration sends and receives messages on that account, for that business, under its instructions. The business owns the account, the phone number and the conversations. I operate the software that moves the messages.

What data is processed

Only what a WhatsApp conversation needs: the phone number of the person writing to the business, the display name WhatsApp provides, the content of the messages exchanged, and delivery metadata such as timestamps and message status. Where a business asks for it, the integration also reads and writes the operational records its own workflow depends on, for example a booking or a rental it is being asked about.

I do not collect special categories of data on purpose, and I do not ask people to send them. Messages are written by people, so a message can contain anything a person chooses to write.

Why it is processed

To deliver the conversation the person started with the business, and to keep the business able to answer. Nothing is processed for advertising, profiling or resale. I do not sell personal data, and I do not share it with anyone beyond the parties named below.

Who else sees it

Two parties. Meta Platforms, because WhatsApp is Meta's service and messages travel through and are hosted on the WhatsApp Business Platform under Meta's own terms. And the business you were writing to, which reads its own conversations. Nobody else, and no advertising network.

How long it is kept

I keep the minimum an integration needs to work, and no longer than the business it serves asks me to. Message content on the platform itself is retained by Meta under Meta's retention rules, not mine. When an engagement ends, the business keeps its account and its data, and I delete the working copies on my side.

Your rights, and how to use them

You can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to 1barmoshe1@gmail.com and I will answer within 30 days. If the data belongs to a conversation with a specific business, I will tell you which business holds it, so you can also raise it with them directly.

Step by step deletion instructions are on the data deletion page.

Changes

If what I process changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no other version of this policy.
